Following the success of last year’s Festival and the challenges of filming in an enormous custom-built pavilion, Stagecast is delighted to be returning to Edinburgh this summer to join the 2022 Edinburgh International Festival in its 75th anniversary year.

On Saturday 27th August we will be live-streaming the Philadelphia Orchestra and renowned American Soprano Angel Blue in a special concert from the Edinburgh Playhouse, relayed live to big screens in the iconic Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens. This will be “a special free afternoon concert to celebrate the Festival’s 75th anniversary, given in a spirit of gratitude to all those whose hard work, encouragement and friendship supported our community through the worst of the pandemic.”

If that wasn’t enough, the following evening we will be filming the Closing Concert at the stunning Usher Hall, in what promises to be a thrilling performance of Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Edinburgh Festival Chorus and National Youth Choir of Scotland, with conductor Sir Andrew Davis and soloists Karen Cargill, Andrew Staples and Iain Paterson.
